Sheriff's deputies shoot Westwego man three times in alleged drug sting

A Westwego man was shot Friday night by Jefferson Parish Sheriff's deputies after he crashed his vehicle into a patrol car, allegedly on purpose. The Sheriff's deputies had been pursuing the man because they had gotten a tip that he was involved with drugs.

After arrests in Calcasieu Parish, two face DWI charges

A man and a woman were arrested in separate incidents in Calcasieu Parish over the weekend. They have both been charged with DWI. In an unusual coincidence, it is the fourth DWI charge for each of them.
